Satan is being deified
When Satan has appeared as Christ, and performed miracles and great wonders, he will be deified by the people who have been deceived because they have believed in his deception. We have no specific time to deal with when it comes to the time when Satan will come as Christ and perform his greatest deceptions. We therefore do not know how long it will take Satan to appear as Christ, nor do we know when the true Christ will come on the clouds of heaven.
Many believe that when Christ returns, and then they obviously mean the false Christ, then he will take a seat in the Jewish temple that will be restored. This is part of the dispensational interpretation model*. All the equipment that will be in the temple has apparently been completed, and is just waiting for the temple to be rebuilt. Now the temple cannot be rebuilt, because in the place where Solomon’s temple stood, there is today a mosque. If people were to tear down that mosque to rebuild the temple, it would surely create a conflict so great that all the nations of the Middle East would be affected in one way or another. However, if Satan pretends to be Christ, Muslims will probably also think twice before going into counter-action. Then perhaps the temple will be rebuilt in a miraculous way. The latter is and will only be assumptions on my part, a form of high thinking.
In Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 62 (1893), Ellen G. White states this. In this age antichrist will appear as the true Christ, and then the law of God will be fully made void in the nations of our world. Rebellion against God’s holy law will be fully ripe. But the true leader of all this rebellion is Satan clothed as an angel of light. Men will be deceived and will exalt him to the place of God, and deify him. But Omnipotence will interpose, and to the apostate churches that unite in the exaltation of Satan, the sentence will go forth, “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her”, Revelation 18,8.
* Unfortunately, the dispensational interpretation has gained ground in most denominations today. I say unfortunately, because this interpretation is a Catholic construction made by Robert Bellarmine, cardinal and Jesuit (1542 – 1621), as one of three alternative interpretations made by the Catholic Church to stem Luther’s influence. The other two interpretations are futurism, which places virtually all prophecies into the future, and it was Francisco Ribera, theologian and Jesuit (1537 – 1591), who launched the futuristic model of interpretation in 1585, and preterism, which places virtually all prophecies in Revelation and the book of Daniel to the past without connection to the present. Louis d’Alcazar, theologian and Jesuit (1554 – 1613), was the man behind the preterist model of interpretation. Dispensationalism is roughly based on dividing human history into seven periods. According to this interpretation, during the «millennial kingdom«, which they regard as the seventh period, which follows the «secret rapture«, the Jews will receive the gospel. In short, the doctrine is that God has two special peoples, Israel and the church, and that the church has therefore not replaced Israel in God’s program, and believes that the promises given to the Jews in Old Testament times will be fulfilled in the «millennial kingdom.» In other words, this interpretation makes God, who is a God of order, a God of disorder in that he first has one people, Israel, so after Jesus’ death on the cross, God has the church as his people, and then sometime in the future to have Israel as its people again. But then, only after the secret rapture of the church. (See more about these models of interpretation under English; General about the book of Daniel and Revelation).
Satan’s angels act as human beings
In Manuscript Releases 8:399 (1903) Ellen G. White says. Satan will use every opportunity to seduce men from their allegiance to God. He and the angels who fell with him will appear on the earth as men, seeking to deceive. God’s angels also will appear as men, and will use every means in their power to defeat the purposes of the enemy.
A couple of years ago, a special man visited Betel in Oslo, Norway. He made friends with several of us, and wanted to take part in my small groups. He came up with many strange ideas and thoughts that not are found in the Bible regarding the understanding of God’s Word. One day he asked if we could meet somewhere and talk a little. We did, and the third time we met, I had a strong experience. After a few minutes he told me that he had been visited by angels. He asked if I believed him. I replied that I did, because I had already suspected that there was something else about him that he did not want to tell. Then he told me that these angels were dressed like ordinary people! Furthermore, he said that it took a long time between the first visit and the second visit, then, the visits came at increasingly shorter intervals. Eventually, he received a message that he was to bring to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and it was that our view of the Trinity was wrong. He had been sitting and looking down at the table we sat at all the time we were together. Then he asked me again if I believed him, and he raised his head. I was completely put out. I saw his head like an empty skull, with two black holes where his eyes were. It only took a second, but I was scared. Then I realized that my suspicion was right. When I told this to our pastor, he told me that he had been involved in Spiritism when he was a teenager. This man had thus been engaged in spiritualism, and that for years, and spiritualism opens the door to the occult. He was at best been used as a tool to infiltrate the Adventists in Oslo, if he was not obsessed.
In Selected Messages 3:411 (1903) Ellen G. White says. Evil angels in the form of men will talk with those who know the truth. They will misinterpret and misconstrue the statements of the messengers of God…. Have Seventh-day Adventists forgotten the warning given in the sixth chapter of Ephesians? We are engaged in a warfare against the hosts of darkness. Unless we follow our Leader closely, Satan will obtain the victory over us.
The mentioned spiritualist is not the only one who has visited the Adventist Church Betel in Oslo, Norway recently. We have had a visit from a Jewish man who could say good things about SDA, such as that we keep the Sabbath, but who criticized us and used strong words about our view of the Trinity. Over a period of two years, he was there at least once a month to spread his untruths about both others and us. Another, whom we have had the dubious honour of been visited by, is an Adventist who is a supporter of the Latter-day Theology. He looked to those who were relatively new to the church and those who were perhaps a little immature Adventists to teach them about this Latter-day Theology. This theology essentially ends with man becoming sinless, which implies that we do not need Christ.
There have also been other visitors with us, but it is only the three mentioned with whom I have had significant contact. By refuting the theories and theses they have come up with, they have gradually withdrawn. Everyone who contacted them tried to include them in our congregation, and we were not in any way condemning them. They were allowed to join my small groups, and were allowed to participate like everyone else by expressing their opinions. Nevertheless, there is always a point when enough is enough, even for Adventists. In other words, we have experienced what Ellen G. White says in Mind, Character, and Personality 2:504, 505 (1909). “Evil angels in the form of believers will work in our ranks to bring in a strong spirit of unbelief. Let not even this discourage you, but bring a true heart to the help of the Lord against the powers of satanic agencies. These powers of evil will assemble in our meetings, not to receive a blessing, but to counterwork the influences of the Spirit of God”.
False revivals
Several times up through time there have been revivals that have called large crowds of people to repentance, such as in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost in the year 31. Revivals come from God, and as the word itself implies, this happens to awaken the people from the condition they have ingested, be it lukewarm Christians, sleeping Christians or ignorant people. We also know that every time God does something for mankind, so will the enemy, Satan, who is Mr. CopyCat personally imitates this, and as the headline says, Satan will initiate false revivals.
We know from the Spirit of Prophecy that in the last days there will be a great revival. Both faithful, honest, and lukewarm Christians will return to what is called the ‘primitive faith’ that characterized the early church. We who know the history of the Bible know what power the early church had, and what revival it was in the first years after Jesus’ death. Within a few years, the gospel had been preached throughout the entire Roman Empire, and as far as into India, and the church grew exceptionally fast.
Due to the prophecy of a great and worldwide revival in the last days, Satan has already begun to play out his countermeasures. He launches false revivals into the churches he has infiltrated, and he will make it look as if God’s special blessing has been poured out. The preaching that takes place in these churches is a mixture of truth, Satan’s lies and manmade doctrine. This mixture of the true with the false is the most dangerous thing there is, because it seems to be from God. However, it is not. This mixture is, instead of the real thing, a masterpiece that is well adapted to mislead. This type of revival triggers a great religious interest that appeals to the emotional, triggers the ecstatic and many in both the fallen churches and nominal Adventists are seduced and misled in such a way that they lose sight of the real thing.
Ellen G. White says in Early Writings. “I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them”.
Satan’s goal by initiating many false revivals is to prevent honestly seeking people, both within the fallen denominations and those who are not Christians, from responding to the real revival that will soon come. Regardless, no one needs to be seduced and deceived by the devil’s false revivals. The honest and searching soul can use the only weapon that can resist Satan’s forgery – the Bible. Isaiah 8,20 gives us the help we need. It says here. “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them”. If the churches behind the revivals that are coming do not keep the law, which is God’s Ten Commandments, and / or do not speak according to the testimony, which is what the prophets preach, then it is a false revival. It is so easy, yet so difficult, because we humans have the ability to like best what itches in the ear.
When we look at the fruits that some of these mega-pastors show us, not always good fruit shows up. First, they do not preach all the Ten Commandments of God. They have a rather lukewarm approach to the commandments, and when the situation dictates, they claim that the commandments were nailed to the cross with Jesus, or that we do not need the commandments because we live by grace. Yet they preach the Pope’s Ten Commandments, which exalt the false Sabbath, the Sunday. They show a greed that far surpasses worldly people’s craving for wealth, and yearn for the greatest earthly honour and fame. I do not think it is a shame to be rich, do not get me wrong, but many of these mega-pastors own several huge mansions, some of them have a dozen luxury cars and even their own jets.
Ellen G. White says in The Great Controversy, 464 (1911) the following: “Wherever men neglect the testimony of the Bible, turning away from those plain, soul-testing truths which require self-denial and renunciation of the world, there we may be sure that God’s blessing is not bestowed”.
The great revival that took place in Jerusalem was caused by the disciples’ way of life. Instead of accumulating wealth on earth, they shared what they had with each other and with those who had nothing. They also lived a life of constant prayer and fellowship with one another. We can read about this in the first chapters of Acts. In chapter 1,12-14 we read: “Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath day’s journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas [the brother] of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brethren”. Why does Luke, the author of the Acts of the Apostles, make a number out of the fact that they all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication?
Just before Jesus was taken up to heaven, he promised them a helper, the Holy Spirit, and the disciples faithfully prayed that the Holy Spirit might be given to them. If we go to chapter 2 verse 1, we read: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place”. We can assume that the disciples had been gathered in the upper room every day since Jesus was taken up to heaven, and for ten days, they had been in one place, with one accord in prayer and supplication.
For a real revival to begin, it is necessary for everyone to do as the apostles did in Jerusalem. They were all with one accord in one place. We must also be in one accord and in one place in prayer and supplication. To be in one place, we must understand in a figurative sense, that we are in the same place spiritually. Our God longs to ignite the spark that will start the last great revival, but we must do our part, and not least, we must not be fooled by false revivals to come. We reveal these false revivals with Isaiah to the law and to the testimony!
Miracles prove nothing
Miracles and miracles are two very different things. God has performed miracles throughout history, and He has made His faithful people perform miracles, which we can read about in Acts 20,9-12. “And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing [him] said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted”. Miracles of this kind that come from the God of heaven are one type of miracles. Another type of miracle we see are those performed by Satan. He has always performed miracles to lead people away from God the Creator, and it is beyond any doubt that Satan has the power to work miracles and miracles, and that he can give power to his associates, be it the fallen angels, or the humans he has in his power.
We can look at what happened in Egypt when Moses was to lead Israel out of captivity. In Exodus 7,10 we read the following. “And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent”. In the next two verses we read about how Pharaoh reacted. “Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents …” Here we have two similar miracles because it is a miracle when the rods become snakes, so then we must try to find out which miracle is real and which is false. Here it is relatively easy to distinguish between the two miracles, for verse 12 ends with this sentence, “but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods”.
In the end times, Satan’s miracles and wonders will be as close to the truth as possible, and then it will be difficult to tell the difference between true and false miracles. It is now that we must take the Bible to help, and see what the Word of God says how we should relate to all doctrine including miracles and wonders. The Bible tells us that we should examine all doctrine with to the law and to the testimony. If those who perform miracles do not speak and learn according to this, it is false miracles they perform. The law is, as we saw under False revivals, God’s ten commandments – all of God’s ten commandments, and the testimony is the preaching of the prophets. If miracles are performed in a church where one (or more) of God’s ten commandments are deliberately broken, then false miracles are performed to seduce those who are not rooted in God’s Word.
In other words, when we see miracles, we must turn to God and ask Him for help so that we are not caught in the snares of the devil, for as Paul says in Ephesians 6,12. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]”.
Ellen G. White says in Selected Messages 3:389 (1888). “Go to God for yourselves, pray for divine enlightenment, that you may know that you do know what is truth, that when the wonderful miracle-working power shall be displayed, and the enemy shall come as an angel of light, you may distinguish between the genuine work of God and the imitative work of the powers of darkness”.
In our days, before the loud cry is heard all over the world, the end-time church, God’s faithful remnant, has not been given the power to perform miracles and work wonders. However, as the loud cry resounds throughout the world, power will again be given to God’s faithful remnant to perform miracles. The miracles that God’s faithful remnant will perform in the absolute end time will not be as significant as the miracles that Jesus did, because Satan is there and doing his forgeries. Performing miracles is no longer a proof of divine power given to God’s people, because the deceiver is already using his power to perform false miracles and wonders.
Ellen G. White says the following in Testimonies for the Church 9:16 (1909). “God’s people will not find their safety in working miracles, for Satan will counterfeit the miracles that will be wrought”.
Miracles must in no way take the place of the Bible
How should we approach the miracles that are performed in our day? Ellen G. White tells us how to approach the miracles that are performed in our day in The Great Controversy. There she says the following: «The last great delusion is soon to open before us. Antichrist is to perform his marvellous works in our sight. So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested”.
In other words, we are encouraged by the Spirit of Prophecy to study the Bible with zeal and diligence, for there we will find the truth. God’s faithful people know from experience that Satan put himself as close to the truth as possible, and yet as far away from the truth as he can get. He does this with both the preaching and the miracles that he now promotes through the fallen church, and he will do so when he comes and pretends to be Christ. This is Satan’s way, he imitates God in everything God does, and nothing he leaves untried.
We can look at a few examples. When Satan in the Garden of Eden seduced Eve, Satan asked, in the guise of a serpent, “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Genesis 3,1.) This is not what God said, but, “of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat”, and then God adds that it is a small test of human loyalty, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die”. (Genesis 2,16-17.) In other words, they could eat from all the trees in the garden … except the one mentioned tree. This is what Satan is turning upside down. He uses the same words, but shuffles them a bit and the meaning becomes very different. Just look at this subtle way Satan distorts God’s word.
In the same way, it is with the Sabbath, which is also the seal of God. God chose one of the days of the week as His day of rest and as His seal. This is the seventh and last day of the week, our Saturday. It is with this seal that the faithful remnant of God will be sealed when the time comes. Satan could not be any worse, so he also chose a day of the week as his ‘day of rest’ and as his ‘seal’. Because God chose a day of the week as the sign of His authority, Satan, who is Mr. CopyCat personally, do the same. Since Satan always puts his lies as close to the truth as possible, and yet as far away from the truth as possible, the day of the week he chose, must be as far away from the seventh and last day of the week as possible, and it is the first day of the week which is Sunday. This is also the seal of the devil, which all who accept Sunday as a day of rest when the Sunday law has been introduced, will take on their right hand or on their forehead, Revelation 13,16.
In the same way, Satan will falsify miracles and wonders, as he is already doing through his agents, the fallen denominations. We have already looked at false healings. Now let us look at another phenomenon called miracles.
Statues that weep tears of blood!
1) Statue of Sicily crying blood
Thousands of Italians make a pilgrimage to the city of Messina in Sicily after a statue of the highly respected Padre Pio began to weep tears of blood. In the evening, Wednesday, March 6, 2002, it was discovered that a red liquid was running from the eyes of the statue. The flow of visitors started after the news of the crying statue became known through the evening news, and the first day the statue was visited by over 2000 people. Padre Pio is a well-known religious figure in Italy and has been named the saint by Pope John Paul II. The priest is also said to have experienced «stigma» as he received wounds on his hands and feet.
2) Crying Virgin Mary statue in Civitavecchia, Italy
Reports of the 40 cm tall statue of the Virgin Mary weeping blood triggered a fierce interest in miracles in Italy. The statue has been examined by a commission, which after 14 meetings and 50 eyewitness reports concludes that the phenomenon is supernatural.
3) Crying Madonna in Mura, Spain
On March 16, 1998, the local priest in the village of Mura, 50 km north of Barcelona, discovered that a white marble statue of the Madonna looked as if it had shed tears of blood. The 70 cm high statue was brought there from Medjugorje and was placed on a pedestal outside the village church. Pastor Lluis Costa says in an interview, “Many have come to see the Madonna, and because they have seen and felt it, they do not doubt that this is true and therefore do not need more proof. Those who approach this with a critical attitude would not have believed it even if they saw all the miracles of the world. However, one thing is for sure, whether people believe in it or not, they feel awe. These miracles are like a warning: a cry without words, which people are free to listen to or not ».
4) Statue of the Virgin Mary in Limburg, Holland, crying tears and blood
The original statue that cried tears was given to a priest for further examination and in connection with this, it was damaged. Despite the damage, it has been gradually restored – «cured itself!«, and has remained as it was originally. The discoloration is gone and the virgin’s cloak has turned pink. The owner received a new statue of the priest. Two days after receiving it, this also began to cry tears, this time of blood. Later this became ordinary tears. The coat, which was originally white, has gradually turned blue.
5) Visions and manifestations of the Virgin Mary
For many years, a group of six children in Međugorje, Bosnia, saw visions of the Virgin Mary. Many miracles took place and thousands of people have since visited this village. Inge Stoltenberg describes this in the Norwegian book, The Revelations of Mary in Međugorje.
6) Picture of the Virgin Mary on a financial building in Florida
December 1996: Over a two-story glass wall of a financial building in Clearwater, Florida, USA, a picture similar to the Virgin Mary suddenly appeared. This was also reported in the Norwegian media by NRK and TV2. The picture is approx. 15 meters wide and 10 m high. Over a three-week period in Christmas 1996, the picture was seen by 450,000 people. Patty Scharn, a receptionist, says. “It is quite amazing, very spiritual and peaceful”. Wayne Shelor a spokesperson for the police, said: “Visitors make altars bring gifts, flowers, candles and statues. There are up to 500 people at a time, in need of care, wheelchair users and the blind. Some have become so overwhelmed that they have fainted. There is still no carnival atmosphere, but a feeling of wonder and awe”. Later, the rainbow-colored image was subjected to vandalism when someone in June 1997 threw an unknown liquid on what stained it. After two days of heavy thunderstorms, the spots disappeared and the picture looked like it originally did.

It is obvious there are millions of people who believe in such miracles.
One of the dogmas of the Catholic Church is that the soul of man lives after the body is dead. The fact that man has an immortal soul is something the Bible contradicts already in Genesis in connection with creation. Genesis 2,7 states: “And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”. It says that man became a living soul; it does not say that he got a soul. This distortion of the truth about man is something that Satan exploits to the full, and he causes blood to flow out of the eyes of such statues.
Other revelations of Mary, the mother of Jesus, are these.
The most famous revelations recognized of the Church are the revelation in Caraveggio in 1432 for the peasant woman Giovannetta de’Vacchi (Giannetta). The one in Guadalupe, Mexico in 1531 for the Holy Indian Juan Diego, the one in Paris in 1830 for the Holy the nun Katarina Labouré. The one in La Salette in France in September 1846 for the two shepherds Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat. The one in Lourdes in 1858 for the holy Bernadette Soubirous, and the one in Fatima in 1917 for the three shepherd children Lucia dos Santos and the blessed Frans and Hyacinta Marto.
One lesser known is the revelation of March 22, 1888, and again April 1, in an inaccessible area of the municipality of Castelpetroso in the province of Isernia in the region of Molise in southern Italy. Also, this time, as in all other revelations, the Virgin appeared to modest persons, in this case two local peasant women, Fabiana Cicchino (called Bibiana) (35) and Serafina Valentino (34), wife of Domenico Cifelli.
These phenomena come more and more frequently in our time. However, we can never replace the Bible with miracles and manifestations of dead people, no matter what the Catholic Church says. This is spiritualism, and the Bible warns us against invoking the spirits of the dead, or going to spirit leaders. It should be enough to read these two verses.
Leviticus 19,31: “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God”.
Leviticus 20,27: “A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them”.
This is exactly what happens in connection with these manifestations. Because the Catholic Church traditionally has told its members what to believe, millions of people are seduced by the manifestations taking place around the world. Millions have made the pilgrimage, and will make a pilgrimage to the places that the pope recommends, and the pope will give the individual Catholic absolution or «forgiveness of sins» if they make a pilgrimage to these places on special days that the pope decides. Ellen G. White says in Selected Messages 2:48 (1894). “The Bible will never be superseded by miraculous manifestations. The truth must be studied, it must be searched for as hidden treasure. Wonderful illuminations will not be given aside from the Word or to take the place of it. Cling to the Word, receive the engrafted Word which will make men wise unto salvation”.
Even in the Advent church
The church’s greatest enemy has always come from within the church itself. It is always easier to detect and reveal an enemy coming from outside. In 1 John 2,18-19, John talks about the seductions that will come in the last days. He says; “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us”.
It is no wonder that Satan chooses this strategy. It is true that Satan has tried other strategies, but they have not been as successful. First, when the church was still relatively new, he incited the religious leaders of the Jews and the secular powers to persecute and kill the Christians, without this going exactly according to his plans. Then he used a Roman emperor who made Christianity a state religion in the Roman Empire. This led to many of the pagan traditions that were in the existing religions gaining a foothold in the church, which eventually also introduced new and more dangerous manmade traditions. This continues in our time, and the persecution and murder of those who adhere to the pure word of God will again be implemented in a full scale.
We see more and more Adventists are drawn to the false teachings that exist within our ranks. Many advocate the last-generation theology, which in short states that man himself can be faultless / sin-free, that is, saved by his own works, which in turn implies that we do not need Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Many also advocate that Jesus is not God, and substantiate this from the expression there is one God! Still others endorse gay pastors and gay practices, and some fight for an open stage over who has the right to do what, as in relation to the ordination of female pastors. There are also more and more pastors whom separates from the church, operate in our name and ask their listeners and viewers to pay tithes to them, which deprives our church of large sums annually.
As we can see, the enemy is about to tear in pieces God’s end-time church, but fortunately most people pull at the right end of the rope in this tug of war. However, there is a germ of greater division if we do not do everything according to God’s will and desire. There is only one who benefits from such things, and that is Satan.
Are you ready for the day Satan comes and pretends to be Christ?
During the 15 episodes the three parts of Satan’s seductions in the last days consist of, we have looked at what seductions and techniques Satan will use in the latter days – if possible to seduce the very elect. Jesus has told us in advance that this will happen (Matthew 24,25), He has also told us how we can withstand the devil’s deceptions, and how we can be able to distinguish between the real that comes from God, from the false coming from Satan. To be able to distinguish between good and evil, we must spend a lot of time with God and Jesus, and this is what we do when we study the Bible and when we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus. Through thorough Bible study, God will enlighten us, teach us, and tell us what truth is and how we can expose the false.
I will end with a few verses from Isaiah. “Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? For the living to the dead? To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them”, Isaiah 8,16-20.
Are you prepared for the day that will soon come upon us when Satan appears as an angel of light and pretends to be Jesus Christ?
Are you able to distinguish between God’s true message and Satan’s false message?
Can you expose the father of lies when he appears as Christ, or do you allow yourself to be carried away by the current?
We must be aware that Satan knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what weaknesses you and I have, and that is where he puts his attacks. His only goal is to destroy us and make us fall. He can work miracles and wonders for us to believe in false revivals, and all he does is to lead us away from the living God, the Creator of heaven and earth. We in ourselves are not able to defend ourselves against this. However, fortunately, our God has extended a saving hand, and has done and will do everything to save us. The only condition is that we allow God to save us from the seductions that we know are coming. The best weapon, the only weapon we have in the fight against seduction in the end times is to fear the Lord and obey His word. To fear God in this regard does not mean to be afraid of God, but to have reverence for Him, in other words to honour God, to respect God, and to recognize God as the supreme authority in our lives. Let us seek refuge in Christ, and let Him defend us when Satan’s deception comes upon us in full force.
If we are faithful to the Lord God and follow His Word, and keep all of God’s Ten Commandments, then the Lord has promised us this. When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee, when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43,2.)
Dear reader, while we wait for what is to come, I will make Paul’s words mine: Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord [be] with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3,16.)
